The new season marks the thirteenth year of the Symphony Pops Series. Led by Principal Pops Conductor Michael Berkowitz, the series will be presented in the Ruth Finley Person Theater at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts. The concert offerings include a tribute to the great Louis Armstrong, A Holly Jolly Pops featuring the Roustabout Theatre, a Symphonic Surfin' Safari with Papa Doo Run Run and a special evening of Love, Lust, and Rock 'n' Roll with special guest vocalist Storm Large.

On Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 2 p.m., In the Mood, a fully staged tribute to Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Sinatra and the big band greats of the '40s, returns to the LBC with 19 performers on stage, including six singer-dancers. Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (The Center) welcomes Radiolab's Jad Abumrad with special guest and Sonoma County resident Zoe Keating on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 8 p.m. By integrating his background as both journalist and composer, Jad Abumrad has experienced great success with his public radio program, Radiolab. He orchestrates dialogue, music, interviews and sound effects into compelling documentaries to create "a new aesthetic" in broadcast journalism. Joined by renowned cellist Zoe Keating, their live show "Gut Churn" is set to be a fascinating discussion complimented by an intriguing layer of sound.
