Luther Burbank Center for the Arts Announces Five News Shows Added to 2017 Lineup

Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (the LBC) announced the addition of five new shows and events to its 2017 lineup. On Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 2 p.m., In the Mood, a fully staged tribute to Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Sinatra and the big band greats of the '40s, returns to the LBC with 19 performers on stage, including six singer-dancers. The Grammy-winning duo Indigo Girls bring their signature sonic blend of folk and rock to Santa Rosa on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 8 p.m. for an outstanding program of fan favorites from across their groundbreaking career.

Luther Burbank Center for the Arts' Symphony Pops Series Welcomes Cabaret Star Ann Hampton Callaway

Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (The Center) and the Santa Rosa Symphony present a special musical event as a part of the2016-2017 Symphony Pops Series on Sunday, February 19 at 3 p.m. featuring cabaret star Ann Hampton Callaway singing hits from the Great American Songbook. Callaway joins the Santa Rosa Symphony for a celebration of 20th Century American music. From a command performance at the White House, to the Great White Way of Broadway, she has captivated audiences everywhere. The Tony-nominated star of the Broadway hit Swing! sings the timeless classics of George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter and many more from the Great American Songbook. The Santa Rosa Symphony will be under the direction of acclaimed Principal Pops Conductor Michael Berkowitz.

Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (The Center) welcomes Radiolab's Jad Abumrad with special guest and Sonoma County resident Zoe Keating on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 8 p.m. By integrating his background as both journalist and composer,  Jad Abumrad has experienced great success with his public radio program, Radiolab. He orchestrates dialogue, music, interviews and sound effects into compelling documentaries to create "a new aesthetic" in broadcast journalism. Joined by renowned cellist Zoe Keating, their live show "Gut Churn" is set to be a fascinating discussion complimented by an intriguing layer of sound.

Luther Burbank Center for the Artsand the Santa Rosa Symphony present a special holiday treat as a part of the2016-2017 Symphony Pops Series on Sunday, December 11 at 3 p.m. with A Charlie Brown Christmas Concert. Quickly becoming a favorite on everyone's holiday “must-do” list, this festive afternoon concert features songs from the 1965 classic “Peanuts” animated special as well as other traditional Christmas favorites.  Special guest pianist and Steinway Artist Jim Martinez, along with his Quartet, join the Santa Rosa Symphony under the baton of Principal Pops Conductor Michael Berkowitz in paying tribute to famous Snoopy songs, with music written or arranged by Vince Guaraldi.

Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (The Center) announced that award-winning comedian and writer, Colleen Ballinger, will return to her live performance roots with her new tour, AEG Live Presents Miranda Sings… You're Welcome in Santa Rosa on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 7 p.m. Featuring appearances by both Colleen and "Miranda Sings," the tour offers Ballinger's signature blend of live comedy, singing and countless applications of lipstick. Audiences can expect a face-paced, 80-minute show and will be left feeling grateful. North Bay Stage Company Dials Up Thriller DIAL M FOR MURDER at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts

North Bay Company (NBSC), kicks off its 2016-17 season with Frederick Knott's murder mystery masterpiece, Dial 'M' for Murder. The production will be performed in the company's intimate and audience-friendly home in the East Auditorium at LBC, running Oct 21-Nov 6, 2016. John Faulkner directs the production, Dial 'M' for Murder and is presented through special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. Cast includes: Michael Walraven, Jesse Bell, Tom McIntyre, Paul Menconi, and Jeffrey Schmidt.

Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (The Center) announced Peppa Pig's Big Splash Live!, Peppa's first North American theatre tour, will visit Santa Rosa on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. By popular demand, 40 additional cities have been added to the Peppa Pig's Big Splash Live! tour schedule for 2017, including coast-to-coast stops from Anaheim and Oakland to Newark and many more. In addition, the hit live show will make an exciting visit north of the border for the very first time with stops in major Canadian cities, including Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. The new tour dates will give fans throughout North America one last chance to seePeppa Pig live on stage during this final leg of the Peppa Pig's Big Splash tour.
