STAGE TRIBUTE: Angela Lansbury and Bea Arthur Sing 'Bosom Buddies'

On Monday, September 14, 2009, Five-time Tony Award winner Angela Lansbury hosted a memorial for friends and family of Tony and Emmy Award-winning entertainment icon Beatrice Arthur at Broadway's Majestic Theatre (247 W. 44th St.). One of the highlights of the touching, humorous, tender and emotional afternoon was the video played of Angela and Bea singing 'Bosum Buddies' from MAME when the two reunited to sing it at the Tony Awards.

Alix Korey Stars In Abingdon Theatre Company's 'INVENTING AVI' 10/2 Through 11/1, Opens 10/14

Actress, comedienne, and cabaret star Alix Korey, whose Broadway credits include ALL SHOOK UP and CHICAGO, is set to join the cast of Abingdon Theatre Company's 2009-10 season opener -- the world premiere of INVENTING AVI (and other theatrical maneuvers), a new Off-Broadway comedy by Robert Cary and Benjamin Feldman, set to begin previews on October 2, prior to an official press opening October 14, at Abingdon Theatre Complex's June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street) in Manhattan.

Sutton Foster, Will Swenson, Marc Kudisch, Debra Monk and Christopher Sieber will take part in a reading of the new musical 'Bonnie and Clyde: A Folktale' according to Variety. The industry-only reading, produced by Jed Bernstein's Above the Title Entertainment, will take place June 16 at the Westside Theater.

The rarely performed comedies by George Bernard Shaw were presented on Monday, APRIL 20th at 7pm at the Players Club, 16 Gramercy Park South. David Staller was producer and director.
