Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Award winner Eric McCormack (Will & Grace, Who Is Clark Rockefeller?) has signed up to play the lead role in TNT's PERCEPTION (working title), a dramatic pilot from executive producer Kenneth Biller (Smallville, Legend of the Seeker) and co-executive producer Mike Sussman (Star Trek: Voyager). This marks McCormack's third project with TNT after previously starring in the 2009 series Trust Me and co-producing the 2007 pilot Imperfect Union. He will also act as a producer on PERCEPTION.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar will appear as a guest star on 'Weeds,' eonline.com reports. Gosselaar will play Jack, a bar owner who becomes involved with Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker). He will appear in the Showtime series's sixth season, which will begin on August 6 at 10pm.
Yesterday, June 2, Hollywood celebrated the premiere of 'Splice' at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles. Directed by Vincenzo Natali, 'Splice,' a sci-fi psychological thriller, centers on two scientists (Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley) and their dealings with mixing human DNA with genetically engineered material. TNT has given the greenlight to the buddy lawyer series FRANKLIN & BASH, starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar (NYPD Blue, TNT's Raising the Bar) and Breckin Meyer (Heroes). TNT has ordered 10 episodes of the series, which is produced by Four Sycamore Productions, Left Coast Productions and FanFare Productions in association Sony Pictures Television. FRANKLIN & BASH is executive-produced by Jamie Tarses (TNT's HawthoRNe, TBS's My Boys), Kevin Falls (Shark, The West Wing) and Bill Chais (Shark, Dirty Sexy Money). Falls and Chais wrote the pilot.
