An invitation-only staged reading of a new musical, The Tapioca Miracle, is set for Monday, April 27 at 2 & 7 p.m. at Chelsea Studios, 151 West 26th Street, The Tapioca Miracle will have book and lyrics are by Eric Coble and Larry Kaye and music by Dan Kazemi, and will be directed by Tony Award-winner John Rando (Urinetown, The Toxic Avenger).

The New York Pops led by Vincent Falcone and Eric Stern, celebrates its hometown on Friday, November 7, 2008 at 8 p.m. at Carnegie Hall in a program entitled 'A Love Letter to New York' featuring classic songs about New York City and the world premieres of original songs about the city by composer Kenneth Laub. Clint Holmes headlines the concert with special guests Ashley Brown, Laura Bell Bundy and Linda Hart. The program also includes songs by Stephen Sondheim and Cole Porter. Ms. Bundy, Ms. Hart, and Mr. Holmes will make their Carnegie Hall debuts.
Eastwind Theatre Company will present Brad Saville's Two Rooms in Davis from September 5-30, at the Richmond Shepard Theatre. The production is directed by Saville.
Peisha McPhee, Julie Wilson, Judy Butterfield, Sheera Ben-David and Christine Pedi -- all in their Metropolitan Room debuts - and club mainstays Steven Brinberg, Lina Koutrakos and Jamie deRoy, as well as Mark Murphy, will play the Metropolitan Room in June.
