The English National Opera's production of On the Town has become the highest-grossing production in the company's history

The 50th Annual Drama Desk Awards Ceremony took place on Sunday, May 22. The big winners of the night were Doubt and The Light in the Piazza, each of whom received 5 awards. Outstanding Musical however, went to Spamalot.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang celebrated its opening night on April 28, 2005 with a post-show bash at the Hilton Hotel and BroadwayWorld was there!

As a more family friendly playing schedule, evening performances move earlier starting in July.

The National Theatre of Great Britain's critically acclaimed production of DEMOCRACY, a new play by Michael Frayn, directed by Michael Blakemore, will play its final performance on Sunday, April 17th at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street).

DEMOCRACY, the acclaimed play by Michael Frayn, will be featured on tonight's episode of '20/20'. The program will include a story about the use of cell phones, and features an interview with DEMOCRACY star Richard Thomas, and a look at the production's 'cell phone symphony,' designed to curb the ringing of cell phones during the performance. '20/20' airs locally on WABC-TV, Channel 7 at 10:00 PM (ET). Check local listings.

English National Opera's (ENO) new production of Leonard Bernstein's ON THE TOWN begins March 5, 2005 at the London Coliseum (Press Night March 10, 2005). There will be 17 performances playing in repertory until May 24, 2005.
