ROCKWELL Table and Stage, L.A.'s premier spot for extraordinary entertainment and dining is thrilled to announce the world premiere of ROAR, choreographed by Ambrose Respicio III, musical direction by Brian Kennedy and conceived/directed by VP Boyle, ROAR is an immersive theatrical event that will preview on Friday, September 5 & Saturday, September 6 at 8:00pm. Show will open tonight, September 12 at 8:00pm. ROCKWELL Table and Stage is located at 1714 N. Vermont in Los Feliz.

Sabrina Sloan (Motown, Catch Me If You Can) will lead the charge as disgraced angel-turned-preacher Peerless Jones in the September 15th concert presentation of Whiskeyland!, the epic new Boston rock fantasy created by Motown the Musical's Nik Walker and produced by Richard H. Blake, Michael Balderrama and Sean Frank Sullivan of Last Call Theatricals, LLC.

SING FOR HOPE, an all-star concert to raise money for David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation, presented by the Foundation and Cara Samantha, is set for Sunday, October 5th 2014 from 2PM to 6PM at Toshi's Living Room at The Flat Iron Hotel, 1411 Broadway, New York, NY 10001 (at 26th Street). Performers from BROADWAY, AMERICAN IDOL and more will sing to support the cause.

From Last Call Theatricals, LLC, the producing company helmed by Broadway vets Michael Balderrama, Richard H. Blake and Sean Frank Sullivan, comes a night of songs from Whiskeyland!, a brand new rock fantasy telling the story of Boston in the last 24 hours of existence! WHISKEYLAND! THE CONCERT is set for Monday, Sept 15th, 2014 at 7:30pm at The Cutting Room, 44 E. 32nd St., NYC.

The York Theatre Company and its acclaimed Developmental LAB Series presents the musical Buddy's Tavern, with Book by Raymond De Felitta, Music by Kim Oler, and Lyrics by Alison Hubbard. Peter Flynn directs, with choreography by Devanand Janki, and music direction by Mark Fifer. Lynch Theatre at John Jay College (524 West 59th Street). Tony Winners Blythe Danner, BD Wong and two-time Tony Award nominee S. Epatha Merkerson will share the role of the Stage Manager for this one night benefit.

There may have been 40 cabaret performers strutting their stuff this past week at the 23rd New York Cabaret Convention at the Rose Theater at Lincoln Center, but the true star of the three-night extravaganza (October 17-19) was the late Donald Smith, the cabaret impresario and guru to the genre's luminaries, who died this past March at 79. Sponsored by the Mabel Mercer Foundation, which Smith founded in 1985, this year's Convention featured numerous homages to Smith from the performers, many of whom had their career's supported and advanced with the help of the colorful and beloved cabaret producer and promoter. Early in Wednesday's Gala Opening Night show, the 'first lady of the American keyboard' Barbara Carroll called her friend Donald Smith 'the quintessential New Yorker,' and when Mark Nadler closed night one with George and Ira Gershwin's 'Our Love Is Here to Stay,' he said, 'Everybody who cares about the myths of these songs are in this room tonight.' Well, it was clear that anyone who cared about Donald Smith was at the Rose Theater for at least one of the three shows.

Factory Girls features music and lyrics by Creighton Irons and Sean Mahoney and a book by Maggie-Kate Coleman. The reading will be directed by Amy Rogers, the head and creator of Pace University's BFA Musical Theater Program. Musical direction will be by Robert Meffe, the program's resident musical director.
