Point Foundation (Point), the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) students of merit, last night honored the recipients of its Courage, Inspiration and Legend Awards. 30 Rock star and Tony Award winner (Nine) Jane Krakowski, received the Point Courage Award; Citi received the Point Inspiration Award; author, political strategist and civil rights activist David Mixner received the Point Legend Award. The awards were presented at Point's annual New York benefit, Point Honors, which was held on April 19, 2010 at 583 Park Avenue in New York City.

Actor and 'Extra' host Mario Lopez will soon welcome his first child with girlfriend Broadway dancer Courtney Mazza, People.com reports. Lopez and Mazza met while starring in the Broadway production of 'A Chorus Line'.

'Extra' host and former A CHORUS LINE star Mario Lopez and his sister, Marissa Lopez Wong, have written a children's book that celebrates the imagination of children. Lopez celebrated the release on October 16th at the Barnes & Noble, Lincoln Triangle on Broadway.

Top morning talk show 'LIVE! with Regis and Kelly' has announced the nominees for the show's 7th annual Relly Awards, with a wide array of top talent in the running, including names like Tom Hanks, Ben Affleck, Seth Rogen and Jamie Foxx.

The Trevor Project, the leading national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth, raised approximately $210,000 at its ninth annual East Coast fundraising gala, Trevor New York, last Monday, June 29. Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black was honored with the Trevor Hero Award and CNN was named as the Trevor Commitment Award recipient, both for serving as inspirations to LGBTQ youth. Tony Award nominee Gavin Creel presented to Black and Jane Velez-Mitchell, host of HLN's (sister network of CNN) 'Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell,' accepted the award from broadcaster Keith Boykin, on behalf of CNN.

Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black and leading news network CNN were honored at the ninth annual Trevor New York gala on June 29 at Capitale in New York City. The event proceeds will benefit The Trevor Project, the leading national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

The evening will be hosted by Caroline Rhea. Celebrity guests include Dustin Lance Black, Jane Velez-Mitchell, Lance Bass, Sarah Paulson, Mark Consuelos, Carson Kressley, Judy Gold, Meghan McCain and more. Special performances by Jewel and two-time Tony Award® nominee Gavin Creel, currently starring as Claude in the Tony-winning Broadway revival of HAIR.
