The Net Will Appear is a heartwarming comedy of an unlikely friendship between the feisty 9-year-old Rory and her septuagenarian neighbor Bernard.

The NEW JERSEY ONE-MINUTE PLAY FESTIVAL (#1MPF) returns to for its seventh year, beginning a new and exciting partnership with Mile Square Theatre. Hypokrit Theatre Company, in association with The James Jay Dudley Luce Foundation, is pleased to announce the line up for Tamasha: Festival of South Asian Performing Arts. The festival will take over the entire Paradise Factory (64 East 4th St) to spotlight over fifty South Asian performers. Tamasha takes place September 26th through October 2nd, 2016.

Dipti, who was born and raised in Mumbai and currently resides in New Jersey, also stars in the show. She has numerous film and television credits including The Blacklist (NBC), and The Golden Boy (CBS). In addition to acting and writing, she also holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology and works at Sloan Kettering in cancer research.

Recent directing credits include the World Premiere of The Hounds of War by Bill Holland which Broadway World called, 'A must see,' and the critically acclaimed production of The Judgment of Fools by Bernardo Cubria for INTAR Theatre.

Hoboken's Mile Square Theatre (Chris O'Connor, Founder & Artistic Director; Mark Cirnigliaro, Associate Artistic Director) will christen their new space with the Obie Award Winning play Circle Mirror Transformation written by Annie Baker and directed by Chris O'Connor. The play will begin performances on June 15 and celebrate its Gala Opening Night on June 16 and will run through July 2, 2016.  Tickets are $30 ($18/students and seniors) and can be purchased by visiting milesquaretheatre.org

This past Friday, Mile Square Theatre staff and trustees shared a momentous occasion for the arts in Hudson County with an excited group of stakeholders. Leading the way with a ceremonial groundbreaking was MST Trustee President Zabrina Stoffel, MST Education Director Chase Leyner, Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer, and Hudson County Freeholder Anthony Romano.
