Cameron Macintosh and Chichester Festival Theatre's production of Barnum debuted at the Curve Theatre, Leicester last night before embarking on a National Tour. The show was seen by nearly 70,000 people during its run in Chichester last year and was critically acclaimed by many throughout its time there. According to The Stage, Cameron Mackintosh has teamed up with producer Michael Harrison to tour the musical Barnum around the UK, launching in 2014. Barnum was originally written by Mark Bramble, book, and Michael Stewart, lyrics, with the music composed by By Coleman. The tour production is considered a 'revised version' which was produced at the Chichester Festival Theatre earlier this year.
