PBS Presents the Broadcast Premiere of SARAH BRIGHTMAN: HYMN

In a new concert staged in the famous Ludwigs Festspielhaus In Germany, Sarah Brightman performs beloved favorites from her decades-long career and introduces audiences to enchanting selections from her much-anticipated new album, HYMN. Accompanied by her band, a 40-piece orchestra, a 50-voice choir and dancers, the world's most successful and best-selling soprano is joined on stage by other guest artists including Japanese superstar Yoshiki, Vincent Niclo, Mario Frangoulis and Narcis. Filmed in state-of-the-art video and mixed in Dolby Atmos sound, SARAH BRIGHTMAN: HYMN is a hybrid of a musical film, an opera and a large-scale concert production and is part of special programming premiering on PBS stations in November 2018 (check local listings).
Oscar Nominee Renee Taylor Among Award Winners At The United Solo Gala

After a run of ten weeks that presented 130 one-person theatre productions from six continents, the world's largest solo theatre festival concluded its ninth season at Theatre Row on 42nd Street in New York by presenting this year's awards. On behalf of the United Solo Academy, Omar Sangare, the artistic director of the festival, presented the United Solo Special Award to Renee Taylor for her solo show "My Life on a Diet." In her acceptance speech, Ms. Taylor said: "I'm very grateful for receiving an award from Untied Solo - it's a very prestigious honor" and added "I'm very happy to be touring the country with 'My Life on a Diet' - and now I can say I am an award-winning show!"

YouTube Star Coyote Peterson Inks Major TV Deal with Animal Planet

Animal Planet announced today that it is exclusively working with Coyote Peterson to develop a new long-form TV series featuring wild expeditions and rare up-close animal experiences. The series will premiere on Animal Planet in 2019 and will appeal to Peterson's established 13 million-strong “Coyote Pack” as well as Animal Planet's global audience.

Sumerak, the co-curricular production engages students enrolled in several areas of the Shaker Heights High School Theatre Arts Department course curriculum. including the ensemble actor training program, the production training program; and the technical studies program, as well as students not enrolled in classes, in a variety of roles: performers, musicians, managers, dramaturges, designers, and technicians.

August Strindberg Rep will present Strindberg's 'The Father,' newly translated and directed by Robert Greer, in rotation with '#MeThree,' an evening of three original short one-acts by resident playwright Natalie Menna, in rotating rep from November 9 to December 1. The two evenings are designed to enable audiences of the #MeToo era to examine the war between the sexes from both a classical and a modern perspective. Performances are at Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street (between Bowery and Lafayette, East Village).
