Actress, writer, comedian, Candice Guardino is being called someone who "Stuns!", "A Must See" and is "Re- defining Solo Performances" by Chicago, Los Angeles, and New Jersey. Bristol Riverside Theatre will present Candice's hit show, Italian Bred, Friday and Saturday February 15th and 16th with 7pm and 9:30pm showtimes.

Italian Bred is a hilarious and heartwarming one-woman theatrical comedy, written by and starring Candice. The story is based on true-life events and told through the eyes of a little girl growing up in Staten Island. Having written down everything her loving and outspoken grandmother ever uttered, Candice slips in and out of multiple family characters while sharing the stage with virtual cameos of Emmy winner Leslie Jordan (Will and Grace), Mario Cantone (Sex & the City), Steve Schirripa (The Sopranos), and Vic DiBitetto (Mall Cop 2.)

Candice will perform at BRT after sold out shows in Florida, New York City, Los Angeles, New Jersey and Chicago where she received rave reviews. Italian Bred will remind audiences of their own unique upbringing and unforgettably hilarious childhood memories. A new take on solo shows is exactly what Candice does and it's not to be missed!

All tickets are $49. Tickets are available by visiting brtstage.org or calling the BRT Box Office at 215-785-0100. Bristol Riverside Theatre is located at 120 Radcliffe Street in Bristol, PA.

Since 1986, BRT has continued to bring critically acclaimed professional theatre to Bucks County. The theatre is the recipient of over 71 Barrymore Award nominations for Excellence in Theatre, given annually by Theatre Philadelphia. Under the direction of Artistic Director Keith Baker, Founding Director Susan D. Atkinson, and Managing Director Kevin Maroney, the theatre serves as a cultural hub for the community. In addition to its Mainstage productions, BRT offers four concerts including the holiday tradition An American Christmas Songbook, the new play development series America Rising, and the summer theater arts camp ArtRageous. BRT's Mainstage season continues with Neil Simon's The Sunshine Boys (March 12 - March 31, 2019) and The Christians by Obie Award-winning playwright Lucas Hnath (April 30 - May 19, 2019).

Candice Guardino (writer/star) is quickly making a name for herself in the entertainment industry. Her creative brand of comedy and family humor is captivating audiences by embodying multidimensional characters she creates. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Staten Island, Candice's family always spoke at full volume. But they weren't fighting, "that's just how they communicated." She grew up singing, dancing, and performing weekly recitals for her family in their living room. As a child, Candice wanted to follow in the footsteps of her idols: Lilly Tomlin, Carol Burnett, and her great-uncle the late Harry Guardino of TV, film, and stage! Along with performing on stage and originating roles in the heart of Broadway, Candice has written screenplays, dramas, sketch comedies, and sitcoms. She has appeared at Second City LA, the PIT, UCB, and participated in the CBS Diversity Comedy Showcase.
