David Henry Hwang Explores THE SOUND OF M. BUTTERFLY Today at Rubin Museum

LOVER LOVER Plays at The Cabaret at The Duplex

After a sold-out run at the 2017 Toronto Fringe Festival, the New York run of Lover Lover will be presented with an expanded script, a new director, Derek Nicoletto, and a New York cast on Saturday, December 2 at 9:30 p.m. and Today, December 7 at 9:30 p.m. at the legendary Cabaret at The Duplex at 61 Christopher Street, New York, New York.

The public play readings kick off today, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. with esteemed Magic Alumnus Han Ong's new work MACKYDEE, a gripping and haunting look at the people and events that make New York's Zombie McDonald's famous. Ong's previous work GRANDEUR premiered at Magic Theatre in the 2016-2017 season.

Soviet Jewry Movement Explored In Panel Exhibition, Opens 12/6

The National Museum of American Jewish History (NMAJH) presents Power of Protest: The Movement to Free Soviet Jews, a new exhibition exploring one of the most successful human rights campaigns to date. The panel exhibition showcases Americans' efforts in the late 1960s through 1990 to free refuseniks Jews who lived in the Soviet Union and were denied the rights to live freely, practice Judaism, or leave the country due to their religion. It is on view at NMAJH December 6, 2017 through January 15, 2018, and will then travel to a number of venues across the country.

Joffrey Ballet's Reenvisioned NUTCRACKER to Open Today

Seattle Opera steams up McCaw Hall this winter with a comedy about sex: Mozart's Cos fan tutte! In this story, two sisters, Dorabella and Fiordiligi, are adored by their respective fianc s Ferrando and Guglielmo. But, when the two buddies decide to test the sisters' fidelity, the plot takes an unexpected turn: each man disguises himself and begins to woo the other's lover. Soon it becomes clear that everyone's feelings are much more complicated than any of them had thought.
