The 2018 theater season opens at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater with This Is Our Youth, by Academy Award winner Kenneth Lonergan, directed by Katherine M. Carter and starring Michael Goldsmith, John Evans Reese and Ruby Wolf. Designers for This Is Our Youth are Edward Morris (Scenic Design), Caitlin Cisek (Costume Design), Conor Mulligan (Lighting Design), and Beth Lake (Sound Design). Performances are at 8:00 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays, June 1-22. Two preview performances, May 30 and 31, begin at 7:30 p.m.
Solo Date, directed by Tainaner Ensemble's co-artistic director Pao-Chang TSAI, will be presented for three performances in the San Francisco International Arts Festival for its US premiere. The performance will be run from May 31st to June 2nd at the Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture Southside Theater.

Created in a collaborative process led by Jon Adam Ross, and directed by Chantal Pavageaux, THE JACOB PLAY performs in rep (with four other plays) during a three-week limited engagement at The Theater at the 14th Street Y (344 E 14th St at 1st Ave, New York, NY 10003). Commissioned to commemorate Douglass' bicentennial, the production explores the abolitionist and human rights leader's 1845 visit to Ireland.

Sculptural painter Francesca Bifulco is proud to present a sneak peek of her multifaceted installation, Forcella Reigns: The Men Who Play Cards, for just three nights - today, April 27 through Sunday, April 29, 2018 - at North Hollywood's ZJU Theatre Group. Bound for Naples, Italy, this hybrid, site-specific, theatrical presentation/art installation is the culmination of a 3-year anthropological study in Forcella, a tough and degraded neighborhood in Naples. There, Bifulco bonded with a group of men who play cards on a corner staircase, Gradini Forcella; unwitting actors in an improvised show put on every day without fail. This preview presents the elements of the installation coexisting with each other in one single location - a black box theatre - where the viewer can experience the work through a temporal narrative and reoccurring imagery. Before its official unveiling in Naples, Bifulco will share Forcella Reigns' test run with Los Angeles audiences. The artist will be present for the duration of the exhibit-turned-installation (15 hours). Admission is free for all; there is no age limit. My Big Gay Italian Christmas" is officially set to openfor a Christmas in July weekend on July 28th, 8pm 2018, at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City and will play in the Showroom. The show previewed last December at the same property and after receiving rave reviews is set for an early open this summer. An Opening Night press party is scheduled on the same evening outdoors on the Dock immediately following the performance.
Da Camera of Houston celebrates 31 years of presenting chamber music and jazz concerts with the announcement of its 2018/2019 season, themed "Time Future Time Past." The title is taken from Four Quartets, a poem by T.S. Eliot: "Time present and time past / Are both perhaps present in time future / And time future contained in time past…" With a lineup spanning styles and genres, Da Camera's 2018/2019 season explores the progression of time. The season also marks visionary artist director Sarah Rothenberg's 25th anniversary season with Da Camera.
