On Monday, June 11, at 7 p.m., the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust welcomes the Knickerbocker Chamber Orchestra and special guest soloist, Marin Mazzie, for a musical event - Music for the Tempest-Tost: A Tribute to Emma Lazarus, inspired by the Museum's exhibit Emma Lazarus: Poet of Exiles.

Nominations for The 57th Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Feinstein's at Loews Regency by Drama Desk Award winners Brian d'Arcy James and Donna Murphy, with Death Takes a Holiday, Follies and Nice Work If You Can Get It leading the pack. Yesterday, May 8, all of the nominees were celebrated at a special reception and BroadwayWorld was there to capture it all.

The 27th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards were handed out last night, May 6, 2012 at NYU Skirball Center, in a ceremony that once again benefited the Actors Fund and honored the best of Off Broadway. Today we are talking to one of the biggest new stars on Broadway who first burst onto the scene in HAIRSPRAY but has since carved out a place in the great pantheon of theatre history in creating the iconic lead role of Elder Price in the Broadway hit of the decade, THE BOOK OF MORMON, Andrew Rannells. The Hangar Theatre's Pilot Reading Series in NYC continues with a reading of Seeing Jerusalem, a new play by Seth Greenland. The reading is tonight, April 23rd at 7 pm at One on One Studios, 34 West 27th Street, 11th floor (between Broadway and Sixth Avenue). The reading will be directed by Roger Danforth.

54 BELOW, the nightclub and restaurant announced earlier this year, today confirmed additional bookings at the new space located at 254 West 54th Street. Taking the 54 BELOW stage will be world famous Tony Award winners, recording artists, as well as new talent from the New York and Broadway stage.

Ghostlight Records this week went into the recording studio with the cast of Carrie, to record the first-ever cast album. Release dates for the album will be announced at a later time. The cast recording of Carrie will be produced by the show's composer Michael Gore alongside multi-Grammy Award-winner Joel Moss, with Ghostlight Records' Kurt Deutsch serving as Executive Producer.
