Women's Project Theater (WP Theater), under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty and Managing Director Maureen Moynihan, has announced the 31st ANNUAL WOMEN OF ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS GALA.

The Farm Theater will present Bullpen Sessions: Work of the Actor to kick-off The Artist Co-Op's Pop-Up Event, with special guests Raul Castillo ("Looking" on HBO; "Gotham" on Fox), Marin Ireland (Ironbound at Rattlestick), and Florencia Lozano ("Narcos" on Netflix) on Tuesday, June 7 from 6-8pm at the Centre for Social Innovation (601 West 26th Street, Suite 325). Admission is FREE, but seating is limited. Please RSVP at bullpen@thefarmtheater.org. 

The 2016 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were handed out last night to recipients in 18 categories, with two special awards and two honorary awards also bestowed. The Lortel Awards were distributed in a ceremony at NYU Skirball Center hosted byZachary Levi, star of Broadway's She Loves Me. This year's event was once again a benefit for The Actors Fund. The 2016 Drama League Award Nominees for Outstanding Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award were just announced this morning at Sardi's, by Aladdin stars Adam Jacobs, Courtney Reed and James Monroe Iglehart. Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and Women's Project Theater have announced a two-week extension to the limited engagement of IRONBOUND at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place). Previously set to end on Sunday, April 10, the production - which opened on Wednesday, March 16 to widespread critical acclaim - will now play its final performance on Sunday, April 24, 2016.

To life! The Broadway revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF just opened Sunday night, December 20 at The Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway), wrapping up the 2015 Broadway season. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher, and choreographed by Hofesh Shechter. Film Independent, the nonprofit arts organization that produces the Film Independent Spirit Awards, the LA Film Festival and Film Independent at LACMA, announced nominations for the 2016 Spirit Awards this morning. Film Independent President Josh Welsh presided over the press conference held at W Hollywood, with actors John Boyega and Elizabeth Olsen presenting the nominations. Nominees for Best Feature included Anomalisa, Beasts of No Nation, Carol, Spotlight and Tangerine.
