The New York Philharmonic will return to Bravo! Vail in Colorado, celebrating its 30th season, for the Orchestra's 15th annual summer residency, July 21-28, 2017. The residency will include six orchestral concerts that honor the Philharmonic's legacy on the occasion of its 175th anniversary season and the conclusion of Alan Gilbert's tenure as Music Director.

An award-winning play written by a 2017 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) will be presented Aug. 1 and 2 at the National Black Theatre Festival (NBTF) in Winston-Salem.

The Des Moines Community Playhouse held the 2017 Dionysos Awards on Sunday, July 23. The theatre honored 21 backstage, front-of-house, and education volunteers, and announced 10 acting award winners.

Artistic Director Tim Carroll revealed today that Artistic Director Emeritus Christopher Newton's contributions to the Shaw Festival and Canadian theatre at large would be recognized through the newly created Christopher Newton Interns program. The private and revealing thoughts of a true Hollywood legend are revealed as she recounts her harrowing experience. A copy of this letter recently sold at auction for an undisclosed amount.
