Free Staged Reading of CHAPTER TWO Comes to TheatreWorks New Milford
On Thursday, July 27, at 7:30 p.m., TheatreWorks New Milford will host a FREE staged reading of Neil Simon's comedy of love and loss, Chapter Two.
In Chapter Two recent widower and writer George Schneider, encouraged by his younger brother Leo, starts dating again. This sends George into
a deeper depression after a series of bad matches. Then Leo introduces George to actress Jennie Malone and, it's clear, she's a keeper. Still, it's a bumpy trip on the road to Dreamland for these not-so-young lovers. George and Jennie stumble on, overcoming their mutual hesitation and emotional neediness to reach a heartwarming conclusion in this Neil Simon classic.
Chapter Two is under the direction of Marilyn Hart of New Milford.
The cast features JohNathan Jacobson (Litchfield) as George, Vicki Sosbe (New Milford) as Jennie, Christina Vandewater (New Milford) as Faye, and Tom Libonate (Danbury) as Leo.
The cost of the reading is FREE, but reservations are recommended. The reading gets underway at 8:00 p.m., but there is a wine and cheese reception at 7:30. Snacks and drinks will be available for sale at intermission.
