The Metropolitan Opera announced plans for its free outdoor events this summer, which will take place in the Lincoln Center Plaza and in parks throughout New York City. The play, originally written by Jean-Claude Grumberg and adapted by Kanin, marks the first production honoring the late playwright. Additionally, the yearlong tribute will include readings of Kanin's The Rat Race and Peccadillo.

Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello has now confirmed that Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight will star in a Broadway revival of Lend Me a Tenor. The production will be directed by Stanley Tucci and is looking at a February, 2010 Broadway opening.
