This past January, Las Vegas mourned the loss of 'Mamma Mia!', the musical phenomenon celebrating the music of Swedish pop super group ABBA, as the show finally faced its 'Waterloo' after an unprecedented five year run. Now, just like magic, the music of ABBA returns to Vegas for an extraordinary weekend of performances by ABBACADABRA - the ultimate ABBA concert and the globally popular ABBA tribute show with 20 songs, creating 20 memories that will have the audience dancing in the aisles. It is set to make its debut in the Las Vegas Hilton Theater weekend of June 12-14.

On Saturday May 30th 2009 Tony Winner Sara Ramirez star of ' Grey's Anatomy' and 'Spamalot' and Emmy Winner Carson Kressley host of 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' and 'How to Look Good Naked' will be hosting the first benefit gala event for the Al D. Rodriguez Liver Foundation. The event will take place at The Brandon Fradd Theatre at Whyte Hall in Fire Island Pines, Long Island, NY starting at 6PM. Ms. Ramirez and Mr. Kressley have united forces to honor their close friend Al D. Rodriguez, an actor, performer, producer, mentor, and creative tour de force with an evening of music and film.

The Independent Film 2009 Spirit Awards were given out last night Saturday, February 21 in Los Angeles and The Wrestler was a big winner, nabbing Best Film and Best Actor for star Mickey Rourke. Other acting awards went to Melissa Leo for Best Actress for Frozen River, James Franco won best supporting actor for Milk, while Penelope Cruz snagged a best supporting win for Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Woody Allen earned a Best Screenplay award for the film as well.

In addition to the four Competition categories, the Festival presents films in five out-of-competition sections to be announced tomorrow. The 2009 Sundance Film Festival runs January 15-25 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Sundance, Utah.
