Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, a TimeOutNY/Kids "Best Camp for 2012" which has just completed its 45th season, will present a special off-season event, An Afternoon With Jane Monheit, performances by the internationally acclaimed jazz singer and Usdan alumna, today, October 14. The Grammy-nominated vocalist will perform two 75-minute concerts with her band, at 2 PM and then a repeat performance at 4:30 PM at Usdan's intimate Maurice B. Hexter Recital Hall.

AMERICAN IDOL hopefuls have one more chance to audition for the upcoming 12th season at www.americanidol.com. From today, Friday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, Nov. 4, hopefuls can submit an audition video online.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Michael Jackson documentary BAD25 will be screened for a one-week engagement at select theaters in New York and Los Angeles on October 19th. The film, directed by Spike Lee, recently made its debut at the Venice and Toronto film festivals.
