Media At Large Productions presents a revival of Tennessee Williams' play 'In the Bar of a Tokyo Hotel', which incorporates dance as an atypical element.

Media At Large Productions has announced that it will present a unique revival of Tennessee Williams' IN THE BAR OF A TOKYO HOTEL. The play will run off-Broadway at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) with previews beginning tonight, October 13th and continue until Sunday, October 28th. The production will have it's official opening on Wednesday, October 17th at 8PM. This distinctive revival, co-directed by Shashi Balooja and Maria Torres will be the first to incorporate live streaming video and dance. Maria Torres will also choreograph.

Media At Large Productions has announced that it will present a unique revival of Tennessee Williams' IN THE BAR OF A TOKYO HOTEL. Panelists for the December 1st 'What Is Revolution?' talk-back will include: Luis Salgado, Founder/Director of R.Evolución Latina and 'Ghost Dancer' Cast Member; Reza Salazar,'Ghost Dancer' Cast Member; Maria Torres, Choreographer and performer in the Broadway show 'Swing'; Gabriela Garcia, former 'Chicago' Dance Captain; and Carlos Serrano, Playwright and Member of the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre. The December 8th panelists will include the cast of Ghost Dancer moderated by The Show Goes On Productions' founder Emileena Pedigo.

Beginning July 11 and through August 22, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will host the 33rd annual Seaside Summer Concert Series at a new location in Coney Island and the 29th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series at Wingate Field in Crown Heights/Central Brooklyn.

The event takes place at the Baruch Performing Arts Center, East 25th Street between Lexington and 3rd Avenues, at 7pm.

The program will take place in Swing's home, Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park, on West 62nd Street between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues.

The noise coming from Damrosch Park is the roar of dancing feet as Midsummer Night Swing draws to a thunderous close with Week Three. Afrobeat star Femi Kuti & The Positive Force takes over on July 12th, with the associate choreographer from FELA! sweating out the relentless beats and a pre-show DJ set by Jump n' Funk's Rich Medina with Sahr from the cast of FELA! On July 14th songstress Catherine Russell and Cat & The Hounds Swing Band takes over, with a bluesy, jazz-tinged night of swing.
