The Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park THE COMEDY OF ERRORS to Begin Previews Tonight Despite Rain

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will begin previews tonight, May 28 for THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, the first show of The Public's 2013 season of free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, THE COMEDY OF ERRORS will feature Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Hamish Linklater as Dromio and Antipholus respectively and will run through Sunday, June 30. According to a notice from the Public Theater, no performance will be canceled before 8:30pm, even if it's raining. A performance might be delayed, but will perform if and when possible and safe for the actors.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced additional casting today for the 2013 season of free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. This summer, all performances for THE COMEDY OF ERRORS and LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST, A NEW MUSICAL will begin at 8:30 p.m. with running times of approximately 90 minutes, no intermission.

The second show of The Public's free Shakespeare in the Park season, LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST, A NEW MUSICAL, directed by Alex Timbers, with songs by Michael Friedman and book adaptation by Alex Timbers, will begin previews on Tuesday, July 23 and run through Sunday, August 18, with an official press opening on Monday, August 12. Actors and Directors Announced for SCR's 12th Annual Pacific Playwrights Festival 5/1 - 5/3

South Coast Repertory has announced the lineup of actors and directors who will participate in the 12th annual Pacific Playwrights Festival (PPF). Since its creation in 1998, PPF has grown into one of the most important festivals of new scripts in the United States. This year?s Festival will take place during the May 1 through May 3 weekend and will feature five staged readings and two fully-produced World Premieres on South Coast Repertory?s Segerstrom and Julianne Argryos Stages.
