Producers Michael Rubinoff and Daryl Roth are pleased to announce that beloved comedian Luba Goy of CBC's acclaimed 'Royal Canadian Air Farce' and Jane McLean of The Time Traveler's Wife are the final two Canadian stars to join the cast for the September run of the Canadian production of the award-winning New York smash hit Love, Loss, and What I Wore, an intimate collection of stories by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron.

Due to overwhelming demand, Signature Theatre Company (Founding Artistic Director James Houghton; Executive Director Erika Mallin) is pleased to announce a second extension for the first New York revival of Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, directed by Michael Greif. The production, originally slated to run through December 19, 2010 and extended once through January 30, 2011, will now play an additional three weeks through Sunday, February 20, 2011.

Brierpatch Productions' new musical production FROG KISS is an official selection of the New York Musical Theatre Festival's 2010 Next Link Project. This new saucy n' swingin' musical tale of transformation features book and lyrics by Charles Leipart with music composed by Eric Schorr. Frog Kiss will premiere on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Theater at St. Clements.

HOWL! Arts Project and The Actors Fund present HOWL! ARTS PROJECT 2010, a month-long series of theater, performance art, music, poetry, film, entertainment for and by kids, and much more at Theatre 80 (80 St. Marks Place). Proceeds benefit HOWL! Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt, Managing Director) is proud to announce a free, community event celebrating the opening of Hairspray at the Millburn Theater. Hairspray's Blowout Bash will take place on Main Street and Taylor Park in Downtown Millburn on Sunday, September 19th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Hairspray's Blowout Bash will feature: rides, games, live entertainment, contests, give-a-ways, food, a special appearance from members of the Hairspray cast and more. Hairspray's Blowout Bash is a rain or shine event.

Joe Dowling of the Guthrie Theater and Margot Harley of The Acting Company have announced an expanded touring season beginning and ending in New York. This will be the third joint tour for the two TONY-winning theaters and will feature co-productions of Shakespeare's ROMEO AND JULIET directed by Penny Metropulos in repertory with THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, directed by Ian Belknap. Ms. Metropulos has directed at Oregon Shakespeare Festival for 19 years; Mr. Belknap, Associate Artistic Director of The Acting Company, has apprenticed under several master directors including Mark Lamos and Doug Hughes.

Victory Gardens Fresh Squeezed announces the World Premiere of Aiming For Sainthood, written and performed by Arlene Malinowski, directed by Will Rogers. The production runs September 20-26, 2010, in the in the Richard Christiansen Theater at Victory Gardens, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago. The press opening is Monday, September 20, 2010, at 7:30 p.m.

The NEW ART CLUB will perform BIG BAG OF BOOM! at Assembly as part of the Edinburgh Fringe 2010 Comedy Leicester Comedy Festival. The theater is located on George Street. Performances will take place between August 5th - 29th.

The Museum of Modern Art presents 'Small Scale, Big Change: New Architectures of Social Engagement', from October 3, 2010, through January 3, 2011. The exhibition explores contemporary architecture as a powerful means for improving social conditions, focusing on 11 noteworthy built or under-construction projects in underserved communities around the world. The exhibit will be located in the Special Exhibitions Gallery on the third floor.

St. Petersburg Opera opens its Fifth season with Stephen Sondheim's musical masterpiece composed entirely in 3/4 time, or in variations thereof. A Little Night Music won the Tony Award for Best Musical when it premiered in 1973. Currently showing in revival on Broadway, actress Catherine Zeta-Jones recently won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a musical for her portrayal as Desiree Armfeldt. The song 'Send in the Clowns' has become a popular music standard and has been recorded by dozens of superstars, including Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand and Judy Collins, whose recording garnered Sondheim the 1975 Grammy for Song of the Year.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents its 6th annual First Look Repertory of New Work-three developmental productions of new plays presented in rotating repertory playing October 27 - November 14, 2010 in Steppenwolf's Merle Reskin Garage Theatre, 1624 N. Halsted St. The 2010 festival will also include three free readings by emerging playwrights presented November 5-7, 2010. Tickets for all productions are currently on-sale.

terraNOVA Collective is delighted to announce the new members of their Groundbreakers Playwrights Group. Groundbreakers is a five month long program in which playwrights work on a specific script with intent to create a completed draft.

The original London live cast recording of Legally Blonde The Musical starring Sheridan Smith, Duncan James, Jill Halfpenny, Peter Davison and Alex Gaumond and coordinated for First Night Records by John Craig, will be released on 16 August 2010. Recorded at the Savoy Theatre and featuring music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, the Legally Blonde cast album features eighteen numbers from the show including Omigod You Guys, Serious, Whipped Into Shape, Bend and Snap and So Much Better. The cast of Legally Blonde The Musical will be signing the new cast recording at Dress Circle (57-59 Monmouth Street, London WC2H 9DG) on Saturday 21 August at 12noon.
