Victory Gardens Fresh Squeezed announces the World Premiere of Aiming For Sainthood, written and performed by Arlene Malinowski, directed by Will Rogers. The production runs September 20-26, 2010, in the in the Richard Christiansen Theater at Victory Gardens, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago. The press opening is Monday, September 20, 2010, at 7:30 p.m.

Signature Theatre Company's production of Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, began performances Tuesday, September 14. The first New York revival of Kushner's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play is directed by Michael Greif. The production, originally slated to run through December 19, has been extended a second time through February 20, 2011. Signature Theatre Company's production of Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, began performances Tuesday, September 14. The first New York revival of Kushner's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play is directed by Michael Greif. The production, originally slated to run through December 19, has been extended a second time through February 20, 2011. Today, we bring you the latest from the Signature's web series, revisiting original Angels company members. In this clip, Ellen McLaughlin, who played The Angel in the San Francisco, Los Angeles and Broadway productions of the show discusses a talkback that happened during the Broadway run, and the impact it had on her and Stephen Spinella, the Tony Award-winning actor who played Prior Walter.

Westport Country Playhouse will stage the newly revised adaptation of the timeless classic, 'The Diary of Anne Frank,' helmed by award-winning director Gerald Freedman, September 28 through October 30, as part of its 80th Anniversary Season.

Newcomer Nikki Bohne will star in a new tour of the Tony-nominated LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL launching today in Jackson, Mississippi. Bohne, a recent graduate of Brigham Young University, will play the role originated in the film by Reese Witherspoon, and onstage by Tony nomiee Laura Bell Bundy. Bohne's regional credits include Aida (Amneris) and West Side Story (Anybodys) both at the Hale Center Theatre, Footloose (Rusty) and Annie Get Your Gun (Annie), both at the Playmill Theatre.

As previously reported, on October 25th, James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim's never-before-staged Evening Primrose - will take a one-night-only bow to benefit the St. George's Society of New York 's Anglo-American Cultural Awards at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College. In addition to Candice Bergen, John McMartin, Sean Palmer, Bill Duell, and John Windsor Cunningham, Jessica Grove is also joining the production. Grove is currently starring in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC on Broadway.

Hairspray's Blowout Bash will take place on Main Street and Taylor Park in Downtown Millburn on Sunday, September 19th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Hairspray's Blowout Bash will feature: rides, games, live entertainment, contests, give-a-ways, food, a special appearance from members of the Hairspray cast and more. Hairspray's Blowout Bash is a rain or shine event.

The song 'Send in the Clowns' has become a popular music standard and has been recorded by dozens of superstars, including Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand and Judy Collins, whose recording garnered Sondheim the 1975 Grammy for Song of the Year.

EVENING PRIMROSE, the 1966 made-for-television Stephen Sondheim musical about a secret society of people living in department stores, will make its first appearance onstage on October 25, in a performance benefitting the St. George's Anglo-American Cultural Awards. The star-studded cast will include Candice Bergen, John McMartin, Sean Palmer, Bill Duell, John Windsor Cunningham, Carmen de Lavallade, Frederic Franklin, and Sondra Lee. The rest of the cast has yet to be announced.
