Reading Theater Project Announces Upcoming Theater Festival

The Reading Theater Project, whose mission is to create original theater productions, will produce its third five-minute fringe theater festival Feb. 16-18, 2018, at the Yocum Institute for Arts Education, 1100 Belmont Ave., Wyomissing.

The 2018 Producers Guild Awards were announced on Saturday, January 20, in Beverly Hills. The Shape of Water took the prize for best feature. The Handmaid's Tale, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Black Mirror took the top TV prizes.
Phylicia Rashad to Make Directorial Debut with OUR LADY OF 121ST STREET

Tony Award-winner Phylicia Rashad will direct the upcoming Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; James Houghton, Founder) production of Our Lady of 121st Street by Pulitzer Prize-winner Stephen Adly Guirgis. Rashad replaces the previously announced Anne Kauffman, who has departed the production due to scheduling conflicts.

Variety has reported that Leonardo DiCaprio will star in Quentin Tarantino's currently untitled film about Charles Manson. DiCaprio will portray an aging, out of work actor. Margot Robbie currently being considered for the role of Sharon Tate. Tom Cruise and Al Pacino are also being pursued for the film.

Josie Rourke And Kate Pakenham Announce Their Departure From The Donmar Warehouse

The Donmar Warehouse today announces that Josie Rourke is to step down in 2019, after eight years as Artistic Director, and Executive Producer Kate Pakenham will leave in June 2018. The team were the first female partnership to run a London theatre. During Rourke and Pakenham's tenure the Donmar stage has seen ground-breaking productions, including BAFTA-nominated The Vote, with Dame Judi Dench, which reached over half a million homes on the night of the 2015 General Election; the award-winning Coriolanus with Tom Hiddleston (2013); and the culture-shifting all-female Shakespeare Trilogy starring Harriet Walter, from director Phyllida Lloyd (2012-2016) in London and New York, and on screen.
