David Mamet's THE ANARCHIST Toplines Boca Raton Theatre Guild's 2013-14 Season

The Boca Raton Theatre Guild has added four additional productions to its 2013-2014 season. Under the direction of Artistic Director Keith Garsson and a forward-thinking board of directors, the company has decided to expand their reach and venture beyond their home base, The Willow Theatre in Sugar Sand Park.

Equity Election Results - Nick Wyman, Paige Price & Rebecca Kim Jordan Return to Presidential Offices

Actors' Equity Association (Equity), the Union which represents more than 49,000 working stage actors and stage managers nationwide, today announced the election results for the 8 officers and 17 National Council seats. Nick Wyman, Paige Price, Rebecca Kim Jordan, Ira Mont and Sandra Karas ran uncontested for the offices of President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Third Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer, respectively.

"All the elements clicked back in 1966: Gwen Verdon, one of theater's greatest dancers, Bob Fosse, choreographer and director, and most importantly a very jazzy score by the legendary Cy Coleman. "The score, with its witty lyrics by Dorothy Fields, features such classics as Big Spender, If They Could See Me Now, and Rhythm of Life. "These are songs we sang in high school and summer camp."

34th Annual Carbonell Award Nominations Announced

Les Miserables at Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables led the pack with a dozen nominations. Broadsword at Miami's Mad Cat Theatre Company and Why Torture is Wrong and the People Who Love Them at Plantation's Mosaic Theatre tied with five nods each as the most recognized plays for the annual honors to be held on Monday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale.
