Box Office for Broadway's ROCKY to Open 12/20

The box office at the historic Winter Garden theatre (1634 Broadway) opens Friday, December 20th at 10am for the upcoming musical, ROCKY. In honor of 1976, the year in which the Oscar-winning film was released, ROCKYwill offer a $76 ticket to a select number of preview performances. This offer is only available in person at the box office on Friday, December 20th and will be available on a first come first served basis. ROCKY begins previews February 11, 2014 and officially opens on March 13, 2014.

Stage Entertainment USA and Sylvester Stallone jsut announced complete casting for the upcoming musical, ROCKY. The previously announced cast members, Andy Karl (Rocky), Margo Seibert (Adrian), Terence Archie (Apollo Creed), Dakin Matthews (Mickey) and Danny Mastrogiorgio (Paulie) welcome principal Jennifer Mudge, who will play Gloria, the girlfriend of Paulie, Adrian's brother.

The Broadway Ballyhoo, now in its fifth month at The Laurie Beechman Theater, will welcome Margo Seibert, the talented young lady that will be playing Adrian in the much-anticipated musical version of ROCKY that begins performances on Broadway in February at the Winter Garden Theater. Margo was last seen Off-Broadway winning critical acclaim in the title role of Tamar of the River. She will be joined at the Ballyhoo by Natasha Yvette Williams who rose to Broadway prominence in THE COLOR PURPLE and PORGY & BESS. Additional star performers will be announced (or will just appear!) because there are always surprises at the Broadway Ballyhoo!

Stage Entertainment USA and Sylvester Stallone have announced additional casting for the upcoming musical, ROCKY. TERRENCE ARCHIE, who originated the role of Apollo Creed in the world premiere Hamburg production, will reprise his role for Broadway; his final performance in Hamburg will be November 24. DAKIN MATTHEWS will play Rocky's trainer, Mickey, and DANNY MASTROGIORGIO will play Adrian's brother, Paulie. They join previously announced cast members ANDY KARL and MARGO SEIBERT as Rocky and Adrian.

Jeremy Greenbaum (The Fantasticks) and Aaron Komo complete the cast of Prospect Theater Company's world premiere production of TAMAR OF THE RIVER, a new music theater work with music and book by Marisa Michelson, book and lyrics by Joshua H. Cohen and direction by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell). Previously announced cast members include Margo Seibert (set to make her Broadway debut as 'Adrian' in ROCKY on Broadway in Spring 2014) as Tamar, with Ako (Throne of Blood), Erik Lochtefeld (February House), Mike Longo (Hair) and Vince B. 'Crossing The River', a discussion featuring interfaith leaders led by Reverend Susan Turchin, and 'The Power of the Voice', a discussion with innovative contemporary theater composers hosted by Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812's Dave Malloy, will be offered as free post-performance events following upcoming performances of Prospect Theater Company's world premiere of TAMAR OF THE RIVER. The announcement was made today by Cara Reichel and Melissa Huber, the Producing Artistic Director and Managing Director of Prospect Theater Company.
