The Bush Theatre celebrated last night as Ida, written by Rebecca Lenkiewicz, won an Oscar® for Best Foreign-Language Film. Rebecca's new play The Invisible - an original commission by the Bush Theatre - opens at the Bush in July 2015.

Circle X Theatre Co. is thrilled to announce the West Coast premiere of TREVOR, written by Nick Jones (Writer/Co-Producer 'Orange is the New Black') and directed by Stella Powell-Jones, starring Laurie Metcalf and Jimmi Simpson. The Old Globe will celebrate its 80th Anniversary as part of the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration with a full roster of great plays in its regular season and a Summer Season featuring Shakespeare on stage and in film, along with our popular ongoing programs.

Ewan Stewart (Titanic) and Gershwyn Eustache Jnr (Home, nut) will complete the cast of The Royale, joining the previously announced Frances Ashman, Clint Dyer and Nicholas Pinnock.

GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter and children's author Lisa Loeb will be in New York City for the March 21st opening of Camp Kappawanna at Atlantic Theater Company, and to perform a benefit concert for Michael's Fund at BB King's on March 28th. Loeb will also appear at Vision Expo, an eyewear trade show, presenting new styles in her Lisa Loeb Eyewear collection.

Nicholas Pinnock (Top Boy, Fortitude) will star as Jay Jackson, the first black heavyweight champion of the world, in The Royale, written by Marco Ramirez (Orange is the New Black), directed by Madani Younis (artistic director of the Bush Theatre), and loosely based on the true story of the boxer Jack Johnson.
