The 5th Avenue Theatre today announced that it will be holding a special benefit performance of their world premiere musical Catch Me If You Can on Wednesday, August 5 to benefit the Compass Center, a non-profit agency serving homeless and low income individuals and families in the greater Seattle area.

HAIRSPRAY will play the MUNY from August 3rd thru the 9th, it will be directed by Matt Lenz with choreography by Michele Lynch. It features a book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, and a score by five-time Academy Award nominee Marc Shaiman (who co-wrote the music and lyrics for the acclaimed animated musical, South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut) and lyrics by Shaiman and Scott Wittman.

The 5th Avenue Theatre regrets to announce the cancellation of preview performances Thursday July 23 through Sunday July 26 of the upcoming World Premiere of the new musical Catch Me If You Can, but will be offering two additional performances of the show next week on Tuesday July 28 and Wednesday July 29. The two additional performances will be at 7:30 pm.

As previously announced, the producers of 'HAIRSPRAY' are delighted to welcome Brian Conley to the role of larger-than-life 'Edna Turnblad' in the hit musical, currently playing at London's Shaftesbury Theatre. Brian is joined by Chloe Hart, taking over as big-haired big-hearted 'Tracy Turnblad' and Liam Tamne as heart-throb 'Link Larkin'. The trio join the production on July 27th.

'HAIR Week' On Broadway's exclusive look into the revival of HAIR, in celebration of the release of Ghostlight Records' New Broadway Cast Recording (in stores June 23), will also include special guest DJ sessions with members of the 'tribe.' Beginning Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 26 at 9:00 am and 9:00 pm ET, the 'tribe' members will play music from the new cast album and share stories about what goes on behind the scenes at the Hirschfeld Theatre.
