Roundabout Theatre Company opened officially last night April 24, 2014 at the newly transformed Kit Kat Klub at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th Street). The revival stars Alan Cumming in his Tony Award-winning role as 'Emcee' and three-time Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams as 'Sally Bowles'. Tickets are now available through January 4, 2015. It will be a grand gala evening celebrating the work of longtime friends and BIV supporters composer, lyricist, and arranger Marc Shaiman and director, lyricist, and writer Scott Wittman, as well as the leadership and mentorship work of corporate honoree Paul J. Massey, Jr., CEO and Founding Partner of Massey Knakal Realty Services. BIV features members from Motown: The musical, The Lion King, Wicked,Spider-Man, The Book of Mormon, Annie, Kinky Boots, After Midnight and more.

At an anti-piracy awareness event hosted by the Dramatists Guild, famed Broadway composers including Stephen Schwartz, Jason Robert Brown, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Amanda Green, Stephen Flaherty, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman joined forces to express their support for the cause.

The Dramatists Guild's Anti-Piracy Committee just hosted their first-ever Anti-Piracy awareness event yesterday, April 21. During the event, established and up-and-coming musical theatre writers paired up to reach out to known sheet music pirates and ask them to take down the links to their sheet music. The day is intended to raise awareness about the problem of sheet music piracy and take steps against the digital distribution of stolen sheet music.BroadwayWorld brings you photos from the special event below!

The program included a celebration of the 75th Anniversary of The Wizard of Oz, a tribute to the movie music of Marvin Hamlisch, selections from Ben-Hur by Miklós Rózsa, and selections from The Mission by Ennio Morricone.
