On Saturday night July 26, songwriters / co-creators Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman paid a visit to Wichita to see Music Theatre Wichita's all-new production of "Catch Me If You Can," and had many compliments for director / producer Wayne Bryan, choreographer Linda Goodrich, and all the cast members, including Thom Sesma ("The Times They Are A-Changin'," "Miss Saigon," "Sweeney Todd") as FBI agent Carl Hanratty, and Skyler Adams (Pippin understudy in the upcoming national tour of "Pippin") as Frank Jr. Special praise also went to Broadway veterans David Hess and Paula Leggett Chase as Frank's parents, and to Carolyn Anne Miller as love interest Brenda. 'HEDWIG,' THE NANCE & More Set for Uptown Players' 2015 Season

Uptown Players, a professional theater group located in the Uptown area of Dallas, has announced its 2015 season at the Kalita Humphreys Theater complex, which will feature the regional premiere of the 2013 Tony Award nominated play, The Nance, the professional area premiere of the 2011 Tony nominated musical Catch Me If You Can, the 2014 Tony award winning musical, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, plus a new play entitled Harbor, which just completed a successful off-broadway run. Uptown Players will also present its annual fundraising performance, this year entitled Christmas Our Way, which will be held in December 2014. Uptown Players will present Gilligan's Fire Island, another world premiere parody from the creator of Re-Designing Women and The Facts of Life this spring in the Rose Room Theater at S4.

Santino Fontana, 2013 Tony Award nominee for Best Leading Actor in a Musical (Cinderella), visited students of Broadway Artists Alliance Junior Summer Intensive on July 9th. Fontana spoke of his start in school plays all the way to his Broadway career. Fontana relayed some words of wisdom during a Q&A, answering questions ranging from memorizing all those lines to the process of making Frozen.

Gladstone will open its 27th Season of Theatre in the Park with 'Hairspray'. The show opens tonight, July 3rd, but will break for the Independence Day Celebration Friday, July 4th and continue again on Saturday, July 5th and Sunday, July 6th. All performances begin at 8:30 p.m. and concessions will be provided by Gladstone Rotary.
