Michael Feinstein's latest 'Standard Time' show, 'Let's Get Away From It All,' explored the theme of getting away to another place or another state of mind, with delightfully obscure song choices and terrific arrangements.
On 12 November, 'Playing in the Dark' was held, the BBC Symphony Orchestra's concert with author Neil Gaiman, singer/speaker Amanda Palmer, baritone Simon Butteriss and special guest actor David Tennant at the Barbican, London.
In her new show, Café Society at Feinstein's/54 Below, Christine Andreas doesn't so much sing “Puttin' On the Ritz” (Irving Berlin) as personify it, channeling the attitude and era in which it was conceived.
