MARTI Pellow, one of music's most respected artists, undertakes one of musical theatre's most coveted roles when he plays Che in Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita. According to the Stage, Bill Kenwright Limited is looking into transferring ten shows to the West End in 2014, including the UK tour of Fame and the Regent's Park Open Air production of The Sound of Music. Other musicals in the running include the Marti Pellow and Madalena Alberto-led touring production of Evita, and Cabaret, starring Will Young.

First staged in 1978, Evita is Andrew Lloyd Webber's and Tim Rice's musical based on the life and death of political figure Eva Peron. The narrative follows Eva from her beginnings as a radio star and actress, her climb up the social ladder and finally as First Lady of Argentina.
EVITA will open in London and play 6 performances only, at the New Wimbledon Theatre from Wednesday 15 May, prior to embarking on a national and international tour.
