Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) has launched The Saturday Arts Program (SAP), a training ground for passionate young performers. Classes will take place weekly from September 22nd - November 17th at the Bucks County Playhouse, New Hope Solebury High School, and the Solebury School.

Due to popular demand, Taproot Theatre Company has extended their hit musical Chaps! through August 18, giving people one more week to lasso their laughter and experience this mash-up of British humor and cowboy music.

Tony Award-winner Nina Arianda will play Italian film star Giulietta Masina, wife of visionary filmmaker Federico Fellini, in Fellini Black and White produced by Andrew Lazar (Jonah Hex, I Love You Phillip Morris). The film, written and directed by Henry Bromell (consulting producer and writer of Showtime's Golden Globe Award-winning series Homeland) is set to begin production in early 2013. Arianda joins a cast that includes Oscar-nominees William H. Macy, Terrence Howard, Emmy and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage, and Brazilian breakout star Wagner Maura who will play the title role of the iconic director.

HERO Theatre previously announced that Joe Manganiello of HBO's True Blood and feature film Magic Mike would join Emmy Award winner William H. Macy, star of Showtime's Shameless and Academy Award nominee for Fargo, in a benefit reading of Tennessee Williams' "Small Craft Warnings", directed by John Frank Levey. The benefit will be held today, July 29 at 6pm at the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica, Calif. The event will include a silent auction.

Rogue Machine is extending Enda Walsh's THE NEW ELECTRIC BALLROOM. Beginning August 10th and running 8pm Fridays, 5pm Saturdays, 7pm Sundays, and 8pm Mondays, the show will now close on September 2nd with a 3pm and 7pm show on that Sunday only.

The cast includes Tim Bagley, Stephanie Beatriz, Elisa Bocanegra, Dan Donohue, Brent Jennings, and Sam Murphy. The director is John Frank Levey. The benefit will be held on Sunday, July 29 at 6pm at the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica, CA and will include a silent auction.

Summerstage at Leonia presents Annie: The Musical the last two weekends in July. The production, the thirteenth for Summerstage, is held at the Leonia High School Little Theater, and features a cast of 50 from 21 towns in northern New Jersey. ain Street Theater's regional premiere production of Liz Duffy Adams' DOG ACT is a dark and challenging show that is fantastically moving and altogether enjoyable. Skillfully directed by Andrew Ruthven, DOG ACT tells the tale of Rozetta "Zeta" Stone and Dog, traveling vaudevillians, as they journey across a barren, post-apocalyptic United States in search of passage to China. Along the way, they encounter and team up with Vera Similitude and Jo-Jo, an enigmatic duo that vacillate between being helpful and deviously sinister. The piece really comes together in the second act, when the cast rehearses their vaudeville act, showcasing the play within a play that fully discloses the parable-esque themes of both the framing narrative and the vaudevillian act that the characters perform.

Melody Hollis, will make her desert debut in 'Melodyland' today, July 15, 2012 at 2 PM as part of the Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series presented by Les Michaels at the Joslyn Center's Arthur Newman Theatre.
