Pit Stop Players to Present A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH Concert, 5/14

James Naughton to Performs NMA Gala Tonight

James Naughton, two-time Tony and Drama Desk Award winning star of stage and screen, will lend his talents once again to the National Meningitis Association Give Kids a Shot! Gala 2012: A Benefit to Save Lives in the Fight Against Meningitis, a Vaccine-Preventable Disease. Honorary Chairs are Ambassador John L. Loeb, Jr. and Sharon Loeb and Nick Springer; Gala Chairs are Lenore Cooney, Cooney/Waters Group and Gary Springer, Springer Associates PR ; Master of Ceremonies is EMMY Award winning actor Richard Thomas. Jane Lynch, William H. Macy et al. to Host THE LAST FIVE YEARS at Hollywood's Third Street Theatre, 5/4-6

Third Street Theatre, the West Hollywood 99-seat Equity Waiver theatre that brought LA the critically-acclaimed smash hit Falsettos, is pleased to announce three limited engagement fundraising gala performances of The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown on May 4th, 5th and 6th. Each night will bring audiences a fresh mix of Broadway, film and television talent with hosts Jane Lynch, William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman, and a cast that includes Tracie Thoms (Rent), Shoshana Bean (Wicked), Lindsay Pearce (The Glee Project) and Chase Williamson (Spring Awakening). Every performance will be immediately followed by a catered reception and a hosted wine bar.

Seal Brings 2012 Tour to TPAC, 7/29

Multi-Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Seal will bring his North American tour to the Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Andrew Jackson Hall on Sunday, July 29th at 7:00 p.m.

Macy Gray, Demi Lovato and More Join Ravinia Festival Lineup

Ravinia Festival today announces newly added artists to the festival's 2012 season line-up including debuts by Andy Grammer on June 29; Macy Gray on July 22; Demi Lovato on Aug. 4; Mat Kearney on Aug. 11 and 12; Anita Baker on Aug. 25; and Steve Earle on Aug. 26. Returning favorites include Huey Lewis and The News and Joe Cocker on Aug. 10; Lyle Lovett and His Large Band on Aug. 24; John Hiatt & Combo on Aug. 26; and Daryl Hall & John Oates on Sept. 1. Metropolitan Museum Exhibition Explores Origins of Ancient Egyptian Art

Some 180 examples of the very earliest works of Egyptian art-created in the Predynastic and Early Dynastic periods, around 4400 B.C.-2649 B.C. (the end of Dynasty 2) from throughout Egypt-will be featured in the exhibition The Dawn of Egyptian Art, opening April 10, 2012, at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Outstanding examples of sculpture, painting, and relief from the collections of the Metropolitan and 11 other museums in the United States and Europe have been gathered for this presentation.

David Sedaris Performs at the Providence Performing Arts Center, 4/14

David Sedaris, author of the previous bestsellers Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, and regular National Public Radio contributor will be appearing for one night only at the Providence Performing Arts Center on Saturday, April 14 at 8P.
