2011 MAC Award Winner for Major Artist, Julie Reyburn returns to Feinstein's for two nights with her new show, 'Winter Songs'.

A stage and concert star in German-speaking Europe, Sue Mathys is quickly attracting attention in the U.S. But she is far from your traditional German import. Her success performing in the U.S. since her concert debut at Carnegie Hall in 2008, hinges on her thorough embrace of American musical traditions.

Donald Smith greeted all the performers as they were about to set upon the stage at the Cabaret Convention last night, but unfortunately it had to be with a letter from him posted backstage at Lincoln Center. Mr. Smith is still in rehab after surgery (back soon) and this was the first time the Mabel Mercer Foundation's founder was not able to be among the assemblage of cabaret fans and marvelous performers that make this three day event the highlight of the 'cabaret year' However, Mr. Smith's touch was apparent by the quality of the artists chosen to appear in this years convention. Rick Meadows, Director and Production Stage Manager of the show started the evening off with some wonderful words from Donald, and then introduced Andrea Marcovicci to pinch hit for Mr. Smith.

Corky Hale, the Jazz pianist, harpist and vocalist will make her vocal debut at Lincoln Center as part of The 22nd New York Cabaret Convention, to be presented by the Mabel Mercer Foundation in the Rose Theater, Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, 33 West 60th Street (at Broadway), New York, NY 10023-7905.

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, October 20, 21, 22, The Mabel Mercer Foundation presents its 22nd annual Cabaret Convention at The Rose Theater, Frederick P. Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Performances begin each evening at 6 o'clock and run 2 hours and 30 minutes with an intermission. More than forty exemplary vocalists and musicians are scheduled to appear in three diverse programs.

Cover charges vary by performer. Most shows range from $15 to $35, with some exceptions. Each show's cover charge is listed in the show information on the calendar page. Feel free to call the Metropolitan Room with any questions regarding cover charges.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series has announced the return of singer Natalie Douglas to the stage in Nina 2: More Songs of Nina Simone, on Monday, September 12 at 7pm.

Jennifer Sheehan, winner of the Noël Coward Foundation Cabaret Award and the Mabel Mercer Foundation's Julie Wilson Award, brings her critically-acclaimed show, 'You Made Me Love You: Celebrating 100 Years of the Great American Songbook' to Bob Egan's in New Hope on Saturday September 3. Show time is at 8:30 pm. Tickets are $25.00
