The Vineyard Theatre today announced that their 2016 Gala will honor Vineyard Board President and award-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant and New York theatrical press agent Sam Rudy. The annual Gala Fundraiser will take place on Monday, March 14, 2016, beginning at 6:30pm, at Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue).

WASHER/DRYER, a new comedy by Nandita Shenoy about a recently eloped young couple- Michael and Sonya- who discover they haven't been entirely truthful with each other as they settle into Sonya's Manhattan studio apartment with its own stackable washer/dryer as a key perk - is being given its NY premiere by the award-winning Asian-American Off-Broadway company MA-YI THEATER COMPANY at the Beckett Theater at Theater Row (410 W. 42 St.) in NYC (www.theatrerow.org). Previews begin January 26 prior to its official opening night on February 2.

Cameron Mackintosh announced on November 19 that his acclaimed new production of Boublil and Schonberg's legendary musical MISS SAIGON - a smash hit in London since its premiere there in May, 2014 - will open on Broadway in the spring of 2017 at a Shubert theater to be announced.  The Broadway return of MISS SAIGON will feature its acclaimed London stars, Filipino-born and L.A. resident Jon Jon Briones as The Engineer and 19 year-old North Carolina native Eva Noblezada as Kim, who was discovered by the MISS SAIGON casting team at the National High School Musical Awards two years ago in New York.   First performance and opening night dates will be announced at a later date.

A major North American tour of MISS SAIGON will launch in the fall of 2018 at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) in Providence, RI. The Providence Performing Arts Center has been privileged to launch eleven National Tour since 2008.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 36 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2016 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 19 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration. Multidisciplinary performance group Live Source presents the world premiere of THE INCREDIBLE FOX SISTERS, a new play by Jaclyn Backhaus (Men on Boats). Directed by Tyler Mercer, THE INCREDIBLE FOX SISTERS begins performances on Friday, October 30, 2015 - prior to an official press opening of November 1st - at The New Ohio Theater (154 Christopher Street). Performances continue through Sunday, November 8th. Tickets are priced at $20 ($15 for students and seniors) and will be available online at www.newohiotheatre.org beginning September 28th. The production returns to the New Ohio for its world premiere following a hit, sold-out workshop production during the theater's 2014 Ice Factory Festival.

This story is more than relevant. It's riveting. Those who stand up for equality in 2015 are following in the footsteps of Bayard Rustin, the lesser known but powerfully influential civil rights leader who orchestrated the March on Washington and stepped forward himself as an openly gay man at a time when few had the courage to do so. In this ode, an exiled Rustin masterminds 'a tribute to the ancestors' 100 years after the Emancipation Proclamation. This exciting production begins tonight, Oct. 16 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 15 at KC Rep's Copaken Stage in the Power & Light District in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

The Obie and Drama Desk Award-winning MA-YI THEATER COMPANY - one of the country's leading producers of new works for the stage by Asian-American writers - will present two new plays- Nandita Shenoy's WASHER/DRYER and A.
