The Brighton Neighborhood Association and New York Arm Wrestling Association have joined forces to present the White Castle 29th Annual Brooklyn-Kingsboro Arm Wrestling Championships at the Brighton Jubilee Festival on Sunday, August 28 beginning 1:00 p.m. The event will be staged F/O 3264 Coney Island Ave.(off Brighton Beach Avenue and 11th Street), Brooklyn, NY 11235. The proud sponsor is White Castle.

Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue, (at Lancaster Road) in Madison. Doors open at 9 a.m. sharp. Admission is free.

Traveling Diamonds Shows Student Films in Harrisburg, 8/21

Opening night of The Traveling Diamonds student film showcase was attended by a standing room only crowd. Attendance was double what had been expected. Thirteen short films ranging in length from five to fifteen minutes were appreciated by all members of the audience. Some favorites included the zombie romance Necropolis, the dark comedy Wholesale, the drama Clara de Faveo, and the thriller, The Hysteric Dynamic.
