Repertorio Español will premiere The Swallow, written by award-winning playwright Guillem Clua. The play will be directed by Ismanuel Rodríguez and stars Zulema Clares and Rafael Sánchez.

Opening performance is Saturday September 8, 7pm. Chekhov's brilliant tragi-comedy invites us to provincial 19th Century Russia, and paints a portrait of a family in crisis and a world in transition. His belief in a dynamic future with all its possibilities is tempered by the harsh light of day, and a duel.
Calista Flockhart, T.R. Knight and Dakin Matthews head the cast when L.A. Theatre Works opens its 2012-13 season with Christopher Hampton's new version of Anton Chekhov's tragi-comic masterpiece, The Seagull. The cast also includesGordon Clapp, Stephen Collins, Logan Fahey, Cindy Katz and Josh Stamberg, with Rosalind Ayres directing. Five performances will take place Sept. 20-23 at UCLA's James Bridges Theater, where they will be recorded for broadcast on L.A. Theatre Works' nationally syndicated radio theater series.

Traister directs the fully double-castproduction of The Seagull, Anton Chekhov's tragicomedy about life, love and the reckless pursuit of happiness. Performances take place March 1 through April 15, with low-priced previews beginning February 23, at The Antaeus Company's interim North Hollywood home inside The Deaf West Theatre.
