The second season of Comedy Bang! Bang! kicks off on Friday, July 12 at 10PM ET/PT with 20 all new episodes and a robust line-up of famous faces. The first ten episodes will air from July 12 - September 13, followed by a short fall hiatus before picking back up on Friday, October 18 for ten more episodes. Host Scott Aukerman (co-creator/director/producer, Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis; writer/performer, Mr. Show) and musical cohort Reggie Watts (Conan, Reggie Watts: A Live At Central Park, Jash.com) both return to Comedy Bang! According to Darkhorizons.com, Paul Reubens confirmed at at Comic Con yesterday that he is currently working with Judd Apatow's production company to crate a new Pee Wee Herman movie. Reubens and Paul Rust have written the script, but there is still no word on who will direct the project.

I won't discount that perhaps some ego-stroking was involved, but it was also a shrewd business move.
