Primary Stages will host the Fifth Annual New York One-Minute Play Festival, the proceeds from which will benefit the Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA).

Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Chicago Avenue, known for producing innovative and award-winning new work, is proud to announce its 33rd season featuring a newline-up of productions certain to spark excitement in 2011-2012.

Casting has been announced for the Fifth Annual New York One-Minute Play Festival, hosted by Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters. The New York One-Minute Play Festival will take place Sunday, October 16 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street), the Off-Broadway home of Primary Stages. Seating is extremely limited.

As a part of a century-old tradition, a photo shoot was held in Times Square today for a photoshoot featuring 'Black Stars of the Great White Way,' but not everyone was thrilled about this year's gathering. Producer Alicia Keys has just announced that Rosie Benton completes the cast of Broadway's STICK FLY as Kimber, the well-to-do white girlfriend of Flip (Mekhi Phifer). Chicago Dramatists and About Face Theatre are proud to co-produce the world premiere of THE KID THING by Chicago Dramatists Resident Playwright and About Face Theatre Artistic Associate Sarah Gubbins. Directed by Joanie Schultz, THE KID THING will preview September 1st, open September 9th and 10th and run through October 16th at Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Chicago Ave. Recently, the Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has named THE KID THING as one of 19 theatre recipients of the second round of The Edgerton Foundation New American Play Awards for 2011. The prestigious grant will fund the extension of the development and rehearsal period of the new play.
