The Drama League's DirectorFest 2014: The 31st Annual One-Act Festival, an evening of four short plays staged by the Drama League Directors Project Fall Directing Fellows Elena Heyman, Michael Leibenluft, Michael Osinski, and Caitlin Sullivan begins its limited 5-performance engagement today, December 13, and continues through December 16, 2013 at TBG Theatre (312 West 36th Street, between 8th & 9th Avenues).

Off-Broadway's award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre announces the cast for the third production of its 27th theatre season, a revival of Hugh Leonard's classic memory play, DA. Directed by Charlotte Moore, DA will feature a cast that includes Sean Gormley, Kristin Griffith, John Keating, Nicola Murphy, Paul O'Brien, Ciaran O'Reilly, Adam Petherbridge and Fiana Toibin. DA begins previews on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. The production is scheduled to run through Sunday, March 8, 2015. The Opening Night is scheduled for Thursday, January 22nd, 2015.

Red Bull Theater today announced a new three-part collaboration with the Shakespeare Society exploring Shakespeare and the Jacobeans on Film. The series includes a Shakespeare Society major member event (open to the public) and two film screenings. Playwright Donald Margulies will be honored with the William Inge Distinguished Achievement in the American Theater Award, at the 34th Annual William Inge Theatre Festival in Independence, Kansas, at Independence Community College on April 19, 2015. The Inge Festival is the Official Theatre Festival of the State of Kansas.

Sixth Avenue's Town Hall Back Room Reading Series will end its 2014 season with Love in the Time of Channukah, written by Joshua Harmon and directed by Luke Kanter, it was announced today by Sixth Avenue producer Adam Silver. The play will be read one night only, tonight, December 9 at 8:00 at Akbar in Silver Lake.

Agatha Christie's classic whodunit, 'The Mousetrap,' will be presented as a Script in Hand playreading at Westport Country Playhouse, on Monday, December 15, at 7 p.m. Director is Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Tickets are $15 each.

Joel Perez and Roberta Colindrez will also return to the cast, with Zell Morrow and Oscar Williams joining the production as Alison's brothers John and Christian respectively. The new independent film TAKE CARE stars Leslie Bibb and Thomas Sadoski. Since 1998, Sadoski has been one of the most reliable performers in the New York theatre community, being seen in world premieres by Lucy Thurber, Rajiv Joseph, Neil LaBute, and and Jon Robin Baitz, amongst many others. He earned a Tony-nom for REASONS TO BE PRETTY, and Obie and Lucille Lortel Awards for the original Off-Broadway production of OTHER DESERT CITIES.

The official opening is Thursday, January 29. The cast will also include Peter Appel, Ian Etheridge, Mike Faist, James Joseph O'Neil, Elizabeth Ramos, Thomas Jay Ryan, Frank Van Putten and Megan West. A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY will be directed by Erica Schmidt.
