The acclaimed Italian Tenor Luciano Lamonarca, recently established in New Rochelle (Westchester County, NY), has been invited by the United Nations Symphony Orchestra as a special performing guest at their Spring Concert. The performance will take place on Monday, April 15, 2013, at the Merkin Concert Hall (129 W 67th Street near Broadway) at 7:30pm.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the death of the greatest dramatic tenor of the 20th century, Mario Del Monaco, Tenor Luciano Lamonarca launched an online music project called 'Remembering Mario Del Monaco."
Tenor Luciano Lamonarca realized his new album "The Impossible Dream", in which he explores for the first time the American and Broadway repertoire, recording two of the worldwide famous songs, 'Maria' from the musical 'West Side Story' and "The Impossible Dream" from "The Man of La Mancha". The latter was used as background in the video he created for the 1st anniversary of the United Nations Academic Impact.
