The Inland Valley Symphony, conducted by Maestro Anthony Parnther, will close its 2010-11 Season in a joint concert with the Temecula Valley Master Chorale, directed by John Byun.

Now, nearly 40 years later, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Bernard Rand's lifelong ambition is about to be fulfilled.

Bass-Baritone DANIEL OKLUITCH will be performing at Carnegie Hall in an evening entitled THE NEW AMERICAN ART SONG celebrating the works of four important American composers: Ricky Ian Gordon (Grapes of Wrath) Jake Heggie (Dead Men Walking, Moby Dick) Lowell Liebermann (The Picture of Dorian Gray) and Glen Roven (Goodnight Moon.)

The Hartt School is pleased to announce the appointment of its newest faculty member, Robert Barefield, baritone. Barefield, who will begin his appointment in Hartt's Vocal Studies Division this fall, has performed as a soloist with organizations throughout the United States and in Europe, including the New Orleans Opera, the Mississippi Symphony, the Arizona Opera, the Dorian Opera Theatre, the Central City Opera, the Ohio Light Opera, and Operafestival di Roma in Italy.
