The Lilly Awards Foundation, celebrating and honoring women of distinction in American theater, held their 6th Annual Lilly Awards Ceremony last night, June 1, 2015 at Playwrights Horizons (416 West 42nd Street) that was hosted by twice nominated 2015 Tony Award nominee Lisa Kron (Fun Home).

Talk is both cheap and substantive at The Freeman Studio. The Tribeca-based acting studio led by Scott Freeman welcomes the super-busy Santino Fontana and Sarah Steele in its next "Actors Aloud" free panel discussion at on Wednesday June 3 at 6pm. The legendary Cherry Jones is The Freeman Studio's guest on Sunday June 21 at 5pm.

Artistic Director Hal Brooks has announced that the 21st Season of the Cape Cod Theatre Project will feature staged readings of new work by Lucas Hnath, Laura Jacqmin, Kevin Armento, and actor-turned-playwright Ryan King. The 2015 Season, the fourth under Mr. Brooks' leadership, runs weekends from July 2 through July 25, 2015 in Falmouth, MA.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced today the extension of The Herd, the debut play of Olivier Award-winning actor Rory Kinnear currently playing to critical acclaim in its U.S. premiere production in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre. In a four-star review, the Chicago Tribune raves, 'A family drama that sticks with you...this is Steppenwolf acting at its best' and The New York Times says, 'a buoyantly entertaining play [that] breathes with real, complicated life.' Directed by ensemble member and Tony Award-winning director Frank Galati, The Herd adds six additional performances, extending the run through June 14, 2015 with the original cast. ReGroup's FOLLIES OF GOD Benefit and Book Launch for James Grissom's forthcoming book, 'Follies of God: Tennessee Williams and the Women of the Fog' was held February 23, 2015 at TBG Mainstage Theatre.
