Chita Rivera & Daryl Roth Honored at Lilly Awards Tonight; Lisa D'Amour, Shakina Nayfack Among Winners

The 2015 winners of the Lilly Awards, celebrating and honoring women of distinction in American theater, were recently announced by The Lilly Awards Foundation. The winners will be celebrated at the 6th Annual Lilly Awards Ceremony tonight, June 1, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Playwrights Horizons (416 West 42nd Street) and hosted by double 2015 Tony Award nominee Lisa Kron (Fun Home).

Cape Cod Theatre Project's 2015 Season to Feature New Works by Hnath, Jacqmin, Armento & King

Artistic Director Hal Brooks has announced that the 21st Season of the Cape Cod Theatre Project will feature staged readings of new work by Lucas Hnath, Laura Jacqmin, Kevin Armento, and actor-turned-playwright Ryan King. The 2015 Season, the fourth under Mr. Brooks' leadership, runs weekends from July 2 through July 25, 2015 in Falmouth, MA.

Steppenwolf Extends THE HERD

Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced today the extension of The Herd, the debut play of Olivier Award-winning actor Rory Kinnear currently playing to critical acclaim in its U.S. premiere production in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre. In a four-star review, the Chicago Tribune raves, 'A family drama that sticks with you...this is Steppenwolf acting at its best' and The New York Times says, 'a buoyantly entertaining play [that] breathes with real, complicated life.' Directed by ensemble member and Tony Award-winning director Frank Galati, The Herd adds six additional performances, extending the run through June 14, 2015 with the original cast. Steppenwolf Theatre Company's world-renowned ensemble will join more than 600 members of Chicago's corporate, civic and cultural communities for Gala 2015 today, May 9, 2015 at Steppenwolf, 1650 N Halsted St. The Gala will offer guests a unique opportunity to connect with Steppenwolf ensemble members in their artistic home while enjoying a preview of upcoming productions, cocktails, a gourmet dinner, auction, music and dancing with Steppenwolf co-founder Gary Sinise and his Lt. AFTER THE REVOLUTION Begins This Weekend at Chance Theater

Chance Theater is delighted to present the Southern California premiere of powerful drama about a fragmented family After The Revolution. Written by Pulitzer finalist Amy Herzog (4,000 Miles), and directed by Chance Theater Founding Artistic Director Oanh Nguyen. After The Revolution will preview from April 10 through April 17, regular performances will begin April 18 and continue through May 10 on the Main Stage at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center.
