Jody Sperling/Time Lapse Dance presents Soundings from May 16 - 18, 2018 at 7:30pm at Barnard College Dance Department, Barnard Hall, Studio 305, 3009 Broadway at W. 117th Street, and May 19, 2018 at 2pm at Brooklyn Public Library, Spaceworks at Williamsburgh Library, 240 Division Avenue, Brooklyn. Flying Foot Forum Returns With Another Signature Production FRENCH TWIST

Park Square Theatre's Andy Boss Thrust Stage is once again the home to Flying Foot Forum's signature storytelling with FRENCH TWIST, a cabaret of gorgeous music, theatrical storytelling and percussive dance set in a Paris Nightclub that runs from June 22 to July 15, 2018. This 25th anniversary production starts with the premise of the company's original production which premiered at The Guthrie in 2008, but now includes new characters, melodic new songs and inventive dances. Director/choreographer Joe Chvala fuses vaudeville, tap, cabaret, follies, opera, and percussive art forms to evoke American's wildest imaginings of life in the City of Light.

Elizabeth Keen Joins Program B Cast Of SOAKING WET

The Soaking WET series is pleased to add guest ELIZABETH KEEN to the cast of Program B.   The veteran artist will perform her  'the Song and the Short of It,' a words-and-movement solo that takes a bemused look/attack on what's going around.  The new dance joins earlier talking solos 'Recipe' and 'Red Sweater Dance.'

Jody Sperling Nominated for a World Choreography Award

Jody Sperling has been selected as one of the nominees for a World Choreography Award in the Motion Picture Category for The Dancer. At the ceremony, she will also perform an as-yet-unseen solo that was originally choreographed for the film, but was never recorded.

Sonia Plumb Dance Company Presents WAVES: SOUND & LIGHT, 4/29

Sonia Plumb Dance Company will present Waves: Sound & Light, a new dance concert that Artistic Director Sonia Plumb describes as an “immersion of tantalizing sights and sounds that asks audiences how they take in sound and light.” There will be one evening performance Saturday, April 29th at 7:30 pm. The company will also perform two student matinees on Thursday, April 27th at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. All performances are at the Hoffman Auditorium at the University of St. Joseph, 1678 Asylum Avenue, West Hartford. General admission tickets for the evening performance are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors/USJ alumni, and $15 for students. Tickets for the student matinees are $10 each.
