The staged adaptation of the worldwide smash-hit film, DIRTY DANCING - THE CLASSIC STORY ON STAGE is coming to Wharton Center November 10-15, 2015.

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) has announced that Emmy® Award nominee Zachary Quinto will lead the cast of the New York premiere of Smokefall, by Noah Haidle and directed by Anne Kauffman, who directed The Nether for MCC last season to great acclaim. Smokefall continues MCC Theater's season at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street) with previews beginning February 4, 2016 and an opening night set for February 22. It is scheduled through March 13. Single tickets will go on sale January 5, 2016, but advanced tickets are currently available via subscription packages at www.mcctheater.org.

Premium TV network EPIX announced today that the Golden Globe and two-time Emmy award-winning actress Sela Ward has been cast to star with Nick Nolte in Graves, a single-camera half-hour political satire produced by Lionsgate. Ward will play Margaret Graves, the wife of former U.S. President Richard Graves (Nolte), who decides to follow her own political ambitions just as her husband embarks on a Don Quixote-like journey to right the wrongs of his administration. Ms. Ward replaces Susan Sarandon who departed the series due to artistic differences. Production has commenced in New Mexico.

Kal Penn has joined Hulu Original series Deadbeat as “Clyde.” Penn will star in all 13-episodes of the comedy's upcoming season three as a series regular and co-star with Tyler Labine.

ABC Family has cancelled its drama series CHASING LIFE after two seasons.

Premium TV network EPIX announced today that its newest one-hour Original Documentary Doped: The Dirty Side of Sports, which offers a timely and critical look at the history of anti-doping policies in professional sports, will premiere tonight, September 30.

MediaRites' Theatre Diaspora, presents the last play of the 2015 season The Sound of a Voice by noted playwright, David Henry Hwang (best known for M.
