The international musical sensationJEKYLL & HYDE performs at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) for a limited engagement, January 1 - 6, 2013, before returning to Broadway in April 2013. Brett Smock has joined the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse and Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival as general manager and associate artistic director. In this role, Smock will work with Producing Director Ed Sayles and assume the responsibilities currently assigned to the interim managing director, while placing a particular emphasis on talent negotiations, cost control and new play development. Smock is based in New York City. He is a well-known creative producer, director and choreographer within the theater industry with a special interest in developing new plays and musicals.

Casting is complete for the world premiere of Amandine, the new musical from writer Winter Miller, 13P founding member who penned In Darfur (The Public Theater), among other acclaimed plays; Emmy Award-winning composer Lance Horne, who is known for his own work and collaborations with Alan Cumming, Amanda Palmer, Meow Meow, Sandra Bernhard and Justin Vivian Bond; and Drama Desk Award-winning director Josh Hecht (Christine Jorgensen Reveals). The production will run January 9-26, 2013 at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) main stage. Critics are welcome as of January 13 for an official opening on January 16.

Broadway at Birdland has announced the continuation of the partnership with multi-Grammy and Tony nominated composer Frank Wildhorn with two holiday-themed "Frank & Friends" concerts. These evenings will celebrate the holiday songs and favorite performers from the composer's wide range of work in popular, theatrical and classical music. All profits will go to The Actors Fund, a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in the performing arts and entertainment.

The Town Hall's Eighth Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival concludes with The Best of Broadway By The Year on Friday October 26th at 8pm. The festival kicked off with Linda Eder's, Linda Eder, A New Life on Saturday October 13 and continued with Broadway Originals! on Sunday October 21st. The festival is created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel.
