The fourth edition of Lincoln Center's White Light Festival (now through November 23, 2013) is highlighted by appearances by internationally-renowned dance artists Akram Khan and the Mark Morris Dance Group. Khan will dance the U.S. premiere of his acclaimed solo DESH, tonight, November 6 and tomorrow, November 7 in the Rose Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Theatre for a New Audience's inaugural production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by multiple Tony Award-winner Julie Taymor with original music composed by Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning Elliot Goldenthal, opens tonight, November 2, at the Theatre's newly-named building, Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place between Lafayette Avenue and Fulton Street, Brooklyn.

Internationally acclaimed soprano Maureen Francis will join the New Jersey Festival Orchestra at the Morris Museum's Bickford Theater, on Saturday, November 2 at 8:00pm, as it brings to life, in glorious symphonic splendor, the original 1925 movie The Phantom of the Opera, starring Lon Chaney. Ms Francis will perform the singing role of Christine Daae, the Paris opera singer who is the object of the Phantom's desires.

AOP (American Opera Projects) and The Phoenix Concerts will co-produce 'AOP25: Celebrating Composers & the Voice,' a concert featuring the work of composers and librettists from AOP's C&V (Composers & the Voice) program, an annual fellowship that trains composers to write for the operatic voice. The concert will take place tonight, October 11 at 8PM at the Church of Saint Matthew and Saint Timothy: 26 West 84th Street, New York City.

The Civilians, the award-winning New York-based theatre company, announces the members of its 2013-14 R & D Group. The group's emerging and established artists were selected from over one hundred applicants. The R & D Group is comprised of artists from multiple theatrical disciplines. Each artist or creative team will develop an original work over the season. The artists and projects were selected to represent a range of different strategies for making new work from creative inquiry and research. This diversity of approach helps feed a culture of innovation in the group, making the R & D Group an effective lab of experimentation for the field of investigative theater.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) will host a memorial service to celebrate the life and accomplishments of its founding member and beloved actor and teacher Jeremy Geidt, who passed away on August 6th of this year. Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of Producing Artistic Director Andre Bishop, has announced that Bianca Amato, Shirine Babb, John Patrick Doherty, Austin Durant, Richard Easton, Francesca Faridany, Stephanie Fieger, Malcolm Gets, John Glover, Ben Horner, Ruy Iskandar, Brian d'Arcy James, Byron Jennings, Aaron Krohn, Jeremiah Maestas, Christopher McHale, Jonny Orsini, Sam Poon, Triney Sandoval, Nathan Stark, Daniel Sunjata, Patrick Vaill, Tyler Lansing Weaks and Derek Wilson will join Ethan Hawke and Anne-Marie Duff in its upcoming production of Shakespeare's MACBETH, directed by Jack O'Brien. The production, which will feature a cast of 27, will begin previews on Thursday, October 24 and open on Thursday, November 21 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).
