The Kinsey Sicks Coming to Los Angeles LGBT Center, 6/10

The Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center has announced the one night only appearance of The Kinsey Sicks: America's Next Top Bachelor Housewife Celebrity Hoarder Makeover Star Gone Wild! at the Renberg  Theatre on Wednesday, June 10 at 8pm. The quartet will kick off LA's 2015 Pride Season.

ALTMAN'S ART Screening with Bob Balaban Set for Bay Street Theater, 6/8

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce Altman's Art, a screening of Gosford Park and a discussion of the work of one of Americas greatest filmmakers on Monday, June 8 at 7 pm. The evening will also include a talkback hosted by Bob Balaban, with Guilia D'Agnolo Vallan, and Kathryn Altman-the widow of Robert Altman. Steve Martin to Receive AFI Life Achievement Award on TBS, 6/13

The Emmy(R)-winning television event, which this year will celebrate the career of actor, comedian, author, playwright, screenwriter, producer and musician Steve Martin, will continue premiering on TNT or TBS through 2018, with encores each year on sister network Turner Classic Movies (TCM).

James Godwin's THE FLATIRON HEX Makes World Premiere Tonight at Dixon Place

Dixon Place's new commission THE FLATIRON HEX, starring Award-winning puppeteer/performance & visual artist James Godwin, will have its world premiere today, May 15th. Godwin's previous collaborations include Julie Taymor, David Bowie, the Muppets & even Aerosmith. A 2014 Jim Henson Award recipient, Godwin utilizes remarkable puppets, masks & mystical neo-noir visuals to tell a story set in a parallel, near-future NYC filled with ghosts, elemental spirits & evil demigods. THE FLATIRON HEX will play six performances only -- May 15th, 16th, 22th, 23th, 29th, and 30th at 7:30PM, at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street).

Celebrating 25 glorious years in comedy, Westenhoefer returns to the Center's Renberg Theatre on Saturday, May 30, at 8pm and Sunday, May 31 at 7pm.

Bonstelle Theatre Presents URINETOWN, Now thru 4/26

The Bonstelle Theatre closes its 2014-15 Season at Wayne State's Midtown theatre with the Tony Award-winning Urinetown: The Musical, playing tonight, April 17 - 26. A hit on Broadway and in London's West End, the wickedly smart book and lyrics satirize crony capitalism, while the score parodies popular musicals.
